Paramount Skydance Will Remove Approximately 2,000 US Jobs – Report

Skydance Paramount is scheduled to start large-scale job cuts the week of 27 October, cutting approximately 2,000 positions in the United States as part of a cost-cutting plan worth $2bn led by top executive David Ellison.

The workforce reduction follow the union between Skydance Media and Paramount Global, completed in August valued at $8.4bn.

More international job cuts are anticipated, with the company aiming to reveal complete information during its third-quarter financial update on 10 November.

Earlier reports stated the firm was looking to reduce between 2,000 to 3,000 positions before the start of November.

As of December 2024, the organization had almost 18,600 permanent and temporary staff along with 3,500 contract workers.

The company did not immediately respond regarding the report.
